I needed more room to brew my wine & Beer. So in the winter of 2004-2005 I removed
the wood shop I had in the basement. Once all the wood working equipment was
removed I studded the walls and began to build the bar/winery/brewery. When I got to the wall behind the bar I knew that I would go to kegging my home brew. So I built a false wall that would allow me to set the chest freezer against the wall and run my taps through the wall and into the chest freezer. The freezer is controlled by a Johnson controller set at 40'. I have a four tap system using Cornelius soda kegs. The taps are vent-a-matic forward seal taps. I have a manifold inside the freezer that split the Co into 5 outlets, one is for force carbonating. I have a 10 foot counter top that I use as a working area for fermenting. At one end is a two sided sink for clean up. The wine racks were made from scrap wood that I picked up from work. The only other thing I need to work on is a lagering chamber. If you have any ideas please e-mail me. |

The taps are vent-a-matic forward seal; the handles were bought off of E-Bay for
$20.00. The labels were made by me on my computer. |
